Smores

When I think of summer one of my first thoughts is of when I was a kid, camping with my grandparents and making smores on the campfire. We have a firepit that hasn't been used and I thought it would be nice to make smores using our firepit. Come to find out that Gabe, who is 26 years old, has never had a smore before. Tonight was the night that we made smores. As you can see Ella enjoyed hers. I was in heaven with my smore. Gabe enjoyed his although he wasn't too impressed. That's ok, more for me!!!

Our First Family Hike

Today we wanted to do something together as a family so we decided to go on a hike up to Castle Rock. Gabe carried Ella in a hiking backpack and I carried Noah in a baby bjorn. Going on a hike seemed like such a great idea. However, it was at least 90 degrees today and so we all were extremely hot. On the way down Ella got upset because she wanted to walk. I think our next hike will be in the fall when it's cooler.

Fun at the Aquarium

On Friday, Marcos, Denise, Jacob, Gabe, Ella, Noah and myself went to the Denver aquarium. Ella absolutely loved looking at all the fish, turtles, and other sea life. She walked from tank to tank saying, "mommy look fishes." Jacob wasn't as interested in the fish as Ella was. Noah, of course slept through the whole thing. Gabe and Ella fed the sting rays. We all had a great time.

Bak-buc aka Jacob

This weekend we have Gabe's brother and his family visiting us. Bak- buc is how Ella says Jacob. Ella and Jacob are only 6 days apart. They spent the day running and playing together. Ella loves having someone else here to play with.Ella has been so lonely ever since Ethan and Abram went home. I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Noah's first bath

This morning Noah had his two week checkup. He now weighs 7 lbs 1 oz. which means he has gained 9 ounces since birth. He is a great eater. The doctor said he looks great and seems to be doing great. Tonight we gave Noah his first bath in a tub. And as you can see he did not like it at all. I guess he is a typical boy already.

Swimming

Gabe went to Target yesterday and bought Ella a swimming pool and a beach ball. Today was the hottest day of the year, so far. We were suppose to hit 90 degrees. We blew up the pool and filled it up. Although it was very hot today it was also very windy. Ella just played and played until she was shivering and her skin was purple. Noah just slept and enjoyed the sunny day. Hopefully we were have more hot days so Ella can enjoy her new pool.

Baking Cookies

Having a new little brother has been hard for Ella. She hasn't been acting like herself. She seems to need a lot more "mommy time" and "daddy time." So tonight we decided to bake cookies together as a family while Noah slept. Ella cracked the eggs, added flour, and the chocolate chips. She even added salt while we weren't looking. She loves helping us do anything. We loved spending the time with just her.

4 Years ago today...

Four years ago today, Gabe and I were getting married in Las Vegas. The last four years have flown by. I would have never thought we would be celebrating our fourth anniversary with a almost two year old and a one week old. Today we had a quiet morning together as a family and we all went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and Ella ate more of it than the both of us combined. She wouldn't eat her french fries because she wanted the calamari. Noah just slept through the whole night. We are so thankful for our four years together and our beautiful family. We can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

Noah Henry s finally here !!!

Noah Henry has finally arrived. I went for my induction at 3:30 pm on May 27th. After about 10 hours of labor at 2:36 am Noah was here. He weighed 6 lb 4 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. And most inportantly he is healthy. Gabe, my mom, and Salena were my support during the whole thing. Thank you to all of them for all the love and support. Luckily, my grandparents and Steven and the boys came to the hospital to see Noah and myself. We felt so blessed having everyone there to bring Noah into our family. So far Ella loves being a big sister, she wants to hold him and kiss him all the time. I'm enjoying this while it lasts because I know it won't last forever. Noah has been such a good baby. He hardly fusses and has been such a blessing to our family. We will try to update as often as possible. Thank you to everyone for the love and support.
