Kids' Check-ups

Today Ella and Noah went to the doctor. Ella had her 2 year checkup. She is 23 1/2 lbs which is the 8% and she is 33 inches tall which is the 30%. The doctor said that even though she is very petite she is growing at her own pace. Everything else looked great and she doesn't have to go back until she turns 3. Noah had his 2 month checkup today. He is 10 lbs 10 oz. which is the 28% and he is 23 inches long which is 50%. Everything looked great with him and he doesn't have to go back until he turns 4 months old. Noah is growing so much faster than Ella did. I was shocked to see how much he weighed. We are so happy to know that we have 2 perfectly healthy kids. What a blessing!!!

Ella turns 2!!!

On July 21st, Ella turned 2 years old. I can't believe how fast the times goes. Ella is talking like crazy and she repeats everything we say. Ella can count to 20 in english and 10 in spanish. She knows all of her colors. We have been working on her ABCs and she almost knows them all. She loves us to read her books. She is an artist and loves to color and draw. Her favorite place is anywhere outside. She loves being a big sister and loves to hold and kiss Noah. She has brought such a joy to Gabe and my lives. We thank God for her. Here are the pictures from her birthday. She got tons of toys, books, dollhouse, tricycle, and clothes. Thank you to everyone who gave her a gift.

Horseback Riding

We decided this year for Ella's birthday we wanted her to do something different and fun. So I called around and found this ranch with miniature horses. She spent about 30 minutes riding a miniature horse. She wasn't sure about it at first she kept saying, "down, dada, down" but she never cried. By the end of the ride she was smiling and waving at Grammy and Mommy. After the ride we went to the stables and looked at all the other horses. She had a great time.

Yummy Cake!!!

Here is Ella blowing out the candle on her Dora ice cream birthday cake. She didn't even wait till we were done singing. Ella enjoyed her piece. She didn't leave a crumb!!

Ella's Newest Injury

Tonight Ella was jumping on the couch, after I told her to stop, when she missed the couch. On her way down her head and ear slammed into our coffee table. She now has this huge goose egg behind her ear. Luckily she didn't crack her head open. Hopefully next time she'll listen to me. I know that sounds like a crazy thought, a two year old listen.

Our New Car!!!

Ever since I got pregnant with Noah we knew eventually we would need a bigger car. We started looking at cars a couple of days ago. We found this 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. We called about it and we told the salesman that we were going to trade in our 06 Nissan Altima. He wanted us to go look at this Pathfinder because he wanted our Altima. However, Gabe was working till 10 last night so I decided to go "look" not necessarily buy. I packed up the kids and we headed to the dealer. I know I'm crazy!! Well needless to say about 3 hours later I drove away in our new car. Yep that's right I bought it without Gabe being there, he was on the phone with me the whole time. It's white and has charcoal interior and most importantly it seats seven. We know gas is expensive but we love our new car and are excited to see where it can take us.

4th of July Night

After spending the day together shopping we went to our town 4th of July celebration. It is held in a park and there are different vendors, food, a band and most important fireworks!!! We ate cotton candy and enjoyed the music. Ella ran around waving her flag. Ella loved watching the fireworks. It was a great way to end our day.
