Date Night

Being the parents to two little kids means not getting much alone time. Gabe and I have only been on a few dates, three to be exact, in the past two and a half years. The main reason being that we haven't lived near any family until now. I asked my mom to come over on Saturday night and watch Ella and Noah while Gabe and I got some much needed time alone. First we went to a spa and got 45 minute long pedicures and I got a manicure. Then we went to Olive Garden and enjoyed a quiet meal. We had a fabulous time, I think my mom should watch the kids every Saturday night!!! So mom, what do you say????

Potty training update

Ella is doing great with potty training. The past few day we have been gone all day and she has been telling me when she needs to potty and I've been taking her into the public restrooms. She has only had one accident a day and I feel like it is more my fault because we haven't been home and I don't blame her for not wanting to potty in a public restroom. GROSS!!!!!! My OCD is on overload when she tells me she has to pee and I know I have to take her into a public restroom. She has continued to have dry nights and naps for the entire week. She has been in panties since Wednesday. I love seeing her run around in these panties, there are just so incredibly cute. I know that over the next week she will just continue to get better and better.

Ever since we moved to San Diego we have taken advantage of the weather and the beach. Whenever we have warm weather we have been going to the beach. Yesterday we went to Newport Beach to one of our favorite restaurants, Crab Cooker. We met Grandma, Grandpa, and my mom there for lunch. Crab Cooker has the best shrimp EVER!!!! It is so good and was worth the three hour drive to get there. After lunch we took a walk on the pier. It was warm and sunny and just beautiful!!!
